American technology giant Apple released its updated iPad lineup in mid-2020. The new refreshed tablets saw major updates in design, processors and display. The line-up included iPad Air, iPad Mini and iPad Pro. The refreshed gadgets saw a better design, more in line with the other devices such as the iPhone 12 set that Apple released later in November. These iPads are configured as per the need of the customer and are offered on appropriate prices. They range from $349 to $1499. However, the latest iPad Air 2020 released on October 23 by Apple brings out the best in the tablet world. Here is how the 4th generation of iPad Air looks and feel to use.

The iPad Air 2020 sits right in the middle of the Pro and the Mini. It offers an overall balance of power and compactness. Apple sells it majorly as a device for students from all works of life. It supports a handful of other gadgets as well like 2nd generation Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard and Smart Keyboard Folio.

The 4th generation of iPad Air has a boxy aluminium shape that feels sturdy and premium all-around. It comes in 5 different shades of colours, Green, Rose gold, Silver, Space Grey and Sky blue. However, all the colours have a pasty feel to it and some might prefer the old iPad paint job than the new ones.

At a base price of $599, it offers a range of features and design which justifies its price appropriately. It comes with the old touchID which was hailed as more reliable back in the days instead of the FaceID. It also has a 12MP back camera with Focus Pixels and 7MP FaceTime HD camera with improved low-light performance.

Its other features include 10.9-inch LED‑backlit Multi‑Touch display with IPS technology 2360x1640-pixel resolution True Tone display, latest Apple A14 Bionic chip, 4 GB RAM, and a 20 watts fast charger instead of the old 18 Watt. It comes with the full package straight out of the box and ready to use.

The tablet market has been ever-so shrinking and with no other real competition to Apple’s iPad lineup, the 4th generation of iPad looks to compete with its own family member the iPad Pro 2019. However, many tech experts and reviewers have explained the difference in usage between the two gadgets.
