Indian national cricket team captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma celebrated New Year’s Eve with teammate Hardik Pandya and his wife Natasha Stankovic and few other friends. "Friends who test negative together spend positive time together!" Kohli wrote while sharing the photos from the dinner. Hardik also shared the pictures on this Instagram account and captioned it with "Nothing like a get together at home with friends in a safe environment. May this year bring a lot of hope, joy, happiness, and good health. Stay safe!"
Both cricket stars were with the National cricket team in Australia but returned home for celebrating their new year with their loved ones. While Captain Kohli and Anushka Sharma are expecting their first baby, while Hardik and Natasha were blessed with a baby boy in June last year.
Pandya played brilliantly during the ODI and T20 series against Australia but was not a part of the Test team due to some fitness issues. India lost the ODI series by 2-1 but made a comeback and won the T20 series by 2-1.
During the ongoing four-match Test series, India lost the first match in Adelaide, which was also a pink-ball affair. Led by stand-in captain Ajinkya Rahane, India won the second Test match in Melbourne by eight wickets.
The third Test will begin on January 7 and was supposed to be played in Sydney but due to a rise in coronavirus cases, the venue could reportedly be shifted back to the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
