Rishabh Pant is one of the most promising talents of the Indian cricket team. Pant was born at Roorkee, Uttarakhand where there are not many cricketing facilities. From finding a place in the team to becoming the main wicketkeeper-batsman, from sleeping in Gurudwara to establishing himself as top Indian batter, from fans booing him to supporting him, and from struggling batter to the match winner, Rishabh Pant's journey has been roller-coaster. 1. Rishabh Pant was born on 4 October 1997 in Roorkee, Uttarakhand. He belongs to a Kumauni Brahmin Family. His father was Rajendra Pant, his mother is Saroj Pant and his elder sister is Sakshi Pant.

2. In Roorkee, there are not many facilities for cricket so, at the age of 12, he with his mother used to come to Sonnet Cricket Academy, Delhi on Weekends to achieve his dream. He slept in Gurudwaras in the early days.

3. At Sonnet cricket Academy, he met coach Tarak Sinha and under his guidance, he made 3 centuries in Delhi U12 and became the player of the series.

4. Then he went to Rajasthan and played U14 and U16 levels. After that, he had to leave Rajasthan because he was called an outsider there. After some time, he was back to Delhi fo training under coach Tarak Sinha and player U19 there. He was struggling to get entry in the Delhi cricket team.

5. In 2015, he made his Ranji Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy Debut and he performed well. Due to his consistent performances, in IPL 2016 auction, Delhi Capital bought him for Rs 1.9 crore.

6. In 2017, he broke the records in Ranji Trophy by hitting 300 runs against Maharastra, however, in the same year his father passed away.

7. Pant got the International T20 selection call in the same year 2017, after that in 2018 he was selected for the International Test team, and in the same year, he made his ODI debut.

8. The Year 2019 was difficult for him as after MS Dhoni's retirement, all the performance pressure came on him and due to poor form, he was dropped from the team.

9. Rishabh Pant made his strong comeback by helping India defeat Australia in the historic test match of Brisbane, Gabba 2021. Rishabh Pant made undefeated 89 runs in the second innings due to which India became the first team to defeat Australia in Brisbane, Gabba after 1988.
