Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan got married to his childhood sweetheart Natasha Dalal on January 24, becoming the first personality from the movie industry to tie the knot this year. On the movie front, Varun was last seen in Coolie No. 1, which was directed by his father David Dhawan. The movie featured Sara Ali Khan as the female lead and this was Varun's first collaboration with her. Coolie No. 1 is the remake of Govinda and Karisma Kapoor's popular film by the same name. Varun will be next seen sharing screen space with Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor in Jug Jugg Jeeyo, which is being directed by Raj Mehta. The movie is being produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and will feature Varun and Kiara as a married couple.

The couple’s lavish but private wedding ceremony took place in the presence of family members and 50 guests at a beach resort situated at Alibaug. Some of the celebs from Bollywood were also invited to a special occasion.

Varun and Natasha's wedding festivities are happening at The Mansion House, which is a luxurious 25-room resort in Alibaug. Yesterday was their sangeet ceremony. It is being said that the newlyweds will also host a wedding reception, which will be held on January 26.

Keeping COVID-19 protocols in mind, Varun and Natasha reportedly had a limited guest list of 40-50 names. They followed a strict no-phone policy at the wedding and security was increased outside the Alibaug wedding venue - The Mansion House. The couple also made COVID-19 tests mandatory for those attending the wedding.

Among those in attendance were filmmaker Karan Johar, fashion designer Manish Malhotra and filmmaker Kunal Kohli. The couple reportedly got married late on Sunday evening followed by a haldi ceremony in the morning.

Varun Dhawan wore an off-white bandhgala sherwani, heavily embellished with gold floral handiwork, and silk pyjamas for his wedding day. He teamed it with a blue dupatta that had matching borders and mojaris.

The off-white lehenga that Natasha wore featured a wide deep V-neckline blouse with sheer sleeves. The blouse featured intricate sequin and tiny scalloped details all over.

As for Natasha's lehenga, it came with a stunning layered ghera embellished with sequinned patterns all over. The lehenga came together with a zari dupatta that Natasha draped over her head. It had scalloped borders decorated with floral sequins and stone patterns.
