The son of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's younger son Tejashwi Yadav tied the knot in Delhi on Thursday. The Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly got married to his long-term school friend Rachel Godinho at Delhi’s Sainik Farms. The couple has known each other for more than seven years and even dated each other for a while before getting married. As the dreamy wedding of Tejashwi was conducted as per Hindu rituals, his bride, Rachel will now be known as Rajeshwari Yadav.

The wedding pictures of the couple were posted by the older sister of Tejashwi, Rohini Acharya. While congratulating the couple, Rohini took to her Twitter and posted pictures with the caption Tejashwi Yadav and Rachel Godinho - and wished them "a lifetime of happiness".

The images captured the couple performing the wedding rituals in the presence of close friends and family including RJD leader's mother and former Chief Minister Rabri Devi.

While Tejashwi was seen wearing golden sherwani, Rajeshwari opted for a red heavy work lehenga for her big day.

The wedding was attended by top political leaders, including former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and his wife Dimple, Rajya Sabha MP Misa Bharti and others.

Tejashwi, 32, who is the Leader of Opposition in the Bihar assembly is the youngest sibling among his 9 siblings. He has seven sisters and an older brother, Tej Pratap, who is separated.

"We are overjoyed. Tejashwi is the only one left (among the nine children of Lalu-Rabri) to get married," said Bhai Virendra, RJD MLA
