Japanese two-wheelers manufacturing company Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched a new commuter bike Shine 100 in the Indian automobile market. With the launch of Honda Shine 100 the company aims to target the rural customers and provide them with an affordable high quality two- wheeler. The bookings are open for the Shine 100 and the deliveries will start from May 2023. At present the company is ruling with 3.5% share in rural areas and with the launch of its new Shine 100 commuter bike, it is expected to increase the market share. 1. Engine and performance:- The motorcycle is powered by a 100 cc single-cylinder engine that produces a maximum power of 7.6 bhp at 6,000rpm and a maximum power of torque of 8.05Nm at 6,000rpm.
3. Dimension:- This motorcycle has 2046 mm long, 737 mm width, 1116 mm height, 1285 wheel base. It weighs 114 kg and has 168 mm ground clearance.
4. Design:- The body style highlights a halogen headlight, side-stand inhibitor, front cowl, black alloy wheels, aluminium grab handles and a sleek muffler.
6. Colour:- It will be available in 5 colour options – a black base with red, blue, green, gold and grey stripes.
7. Brakes :- It comes with Combi Brake System. It has a 240 mm disc and 130mm drum front brakes and a 130 mm drum rear brake.
9. Competitors:- The new honda motorcycle will compete with the Hero Splendor, Hero HF 100, HF Deluxe and the Bajaj Platina 100.
