Based on S. Hussain Zaidi's book "Mafia Queens of Mumbai: Stories of Women from the Ganglands", Gangubai Kathiawadi has finally hit the screens after making the audience wait for long. Not to mention, the movie touched the level that the audience never expected even their dreams. The movie is based on the real-life story of Gangubai played by actor Alia Bhatt. Being one of the most expensive women-centric movies, Gangubai is produced on larger-than-life sets and mind-blowing plotlines. And more than the set, story, and star cast, magnificent is the salary of the actors. Here have a look at the crores spent by the production and earned by the actors:

1. Alia Bhatt (Rs. 20 crores): As we know, the protagonist gets a bigger paycheck than the whole cast and in this scenario, Alia Bhatt who portrayed Mafia Queen, Gangubai, was paid over Rs 20 crores for her role.

2. Ajay Devgn (Rs. 11 crores): Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Leela Bhansali get magic and it was seen back in time when they came together in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and now we are expecting the same when they are back together. As per a DNA report, he was paid a whopping Rs 11 crores for his screen time.

3. Vijay Raaz (Rs. 1.5 crores): The industry is yet to see a more skilled and versatile actor than Vijay Raaz and he proved it with his role of Raziabai in the movie. As per reports, he was paid around Rs 1.5 crore for this one.

4. Shantanu Maheshwari (Rs. 50 lakhs): After making it big in the Indian Telly industry, Shantanu Maheshwari is all set to take his charm in Bollywood. And to make his debut he chose Gangubai Kathiawadi. For his role, he received a paycheck of Rs. 50 Lakhs.

5. Seema Pahwa (Rs. 20 lakhs): Seema Pahwa The veteran actress has taken a fresh leap of risk with choosing a darker shade for this film and has been reportedly paid around Rs 20 lakh for the film.

6. Huma Qureshi (Rs. 2 crores): While not much is known about Qureshi's character, she will be seen making a special appearance as Dilruba. As per a report by DNA, she has charged Rs 2 crore for the role.
