1. The Kashmir Files: The latest movie to join the bandwagon is Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files. The movie portraying the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley is declared tax-free in a bunch of states including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Karnataka, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Tripura, Goa, and Haryana. The movie was released on 11 March 2022 and has managed to do the business of Rs. 190 crores in just 12 days.

2. Chhapaak: portraying the story of a brave acid attack survivor named Laxmi, Deepika Padukone’s Chhapaak was released back in 2019. The movie sheds light on the struggle of Laxmi trying to ban acid in the nation. It was declared tax-free in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan.

3. Uri: The Surgical Strike: Uri – The Surgical Strike is the cinematic take on the surgical strike conducted by the Indian Army as revenge for the attack that happened in Uri. Made on the budget of ₹25 crores, the movie grossed ₹342.06 crores worldwide. It was made tax-free by the Uttar Pradesh government.
