Politics and the Entertainment industry are related to a great extent. It wouldn't be wrong to say that both of these spheres share an inseparable connection. There have been instances in the past where many established actors tried their luck in politics and emerged victorious. All these actors who turned politicians were wholeheartedly welcomed by their electorates, be it Amitabh Bachchan, Shatrughan Sinha, Sunil Dutt, Hema Malini, Kirron Kher, etc. However, some of them continued to serve while others couldn’t stick around for a long time. Kirron Kher (BJP): National Award-winning Bollywood actress Kirron Kher joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2009. She is currently serving as a Member of Parliament(MP), Lok Sabha from Chandigarh constituency.

Jaya Bachchan (SP): Jaya Bachchan a versatile actress, is one such actor-politician who is actively involved in politics. She joined the Samajwadi Party in 2004 and is an incumbent Rajya Sabha MP representing Uttar Pradesh.

Mimi Chakraborty(TMC): Mimi is an Indian actress, who works in the Bengali cinema. In 2019, she joined Trinamool Congress (TMC) and 2019 general elections from Jadavpur Loksabha constituency. She won the elections and now represents the Jadavpur constituency.

Shatrughan Sinha(TMC): A notable bollywood actor, Shatrughan currently represents the Asansol constituency on a TMC ticket. He is one of the actors who is actively involved in politics. Earlier he had an association with the BJP before joining INC in 2019.

Sunny Deol(BJP): Sunny Deol joined BJP in 2019, and is an incumbent Lok Sabha MP from the Gurdaspur constituency of Punjab.

Hema Malini(BJP): A consistent politician, Hema Malini joined the BJP in 2004. Currently she represents the Mathura constituency of Uttar Pradesh.

Ravi Kishan(BJP): A famous Bhojpuri actor, Ravi Kishan joined the BJP in 2017, earlier he was a member of the Congress party. Ravi currently serves as a Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha from Gorakhpur.

Nirahua(BJP): Another notable Bhojpuri star Dinesh Lal Yadav, popularly known as Nirahua joined the BJP in 2019. Currently, Nirahua represents the Azamgarh constituency, Uttar Pradesh.

Smriti Irani(BJP): Indian television actress, popularly known as Tulsi, Smriti enjoys a long and successful political career. She joined the BJP in 2003 and is currently administrating the Ministries of Women and Child Development and the Ministry of Minority Affairs.

Nusrat Jahan(TMC): Bengali beauty, Nusrat Jahan is a phenomenal actress working in the Bengali cinema. She joined the Trinamool Congress(TMC) in 2019. Nusrat represents the Basirhat constituency.
