After a long wait, Zoya Akhtar and tiger Films finally dropped the first teaser of the Hindi adaptation of globally renowned Archies Comics. Enlightening topics like youth, rebellion, friendships, first loves, and everything about young adults, the movie is titled a musical experience. Giving a chance to the new budding actress of the industry, the film partnered with Netflix is a ride to the late 1960s. So with the building hype, here we bring you a look at the star cast of Zoya Akhtar’s Archies and the characters they are set to portray on screen.
1. Agastya Nanda (Archie); Grandson of Bollywood megastar, Big B, and son of Shweta Nanda, Agastya Nanda is all set to make his acting debut with Akhtar’s Archies. In the drama, he is going to play the lead role of Archie, a stud small-town boy who is fond of his guitar. The plotline of the drama majorly drives around his love angles with Veronica Lodge and Betty Cooper.
2. Suhana Khan (Veronica): The Archies world captures Veronica Lodge as a typical high school girl with beautiful features and long black hair. To play the popular girl, Akhtar roped the popular girl of Bollywood town, Suhana Khan. Daughter of Shah Rukh Khan will be seen playing Veronica who is best friend with Betty cooper and the love interest of Archies.
3. Mihir Ahuja (Jughead): To play an OG we need an OG. Jughead is one of the funniest characters of the Archies franchise. Known for his unique sense of humour, Jughead stands tall among the cast. To play Jughead, the makers casted Mihir Ahuja who has already proved his art in various projects.
4. Khushi Kapoor (Betty): Just a look at the appearance of Khushi Kapoor is enough to tell that she is going to portray the role of Betty Cooper, a charming, quintessential girl next door, who is in love with Archie. Archies is going to be the debut project of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter.
5. Yuvraj Menda (Dilton): With a massive fan following on social media, Yuvraj Menda is already a hyped star. In Archies, he will be seen filling the shoes of Dilton Doiley, a nerdy teen who was loved by everyone.
6. Aditi Dot (Midge): Last but not least, Midge Klump, Moose Mason's longtime girlfriend, and Reggie's unrequited crush. And Dot, who is also a musician, might portray the character.
7. Vedang Raina (Reggie): Reggie Mantle will be played by Vedang Raina, who will be making his acting debut with this project. Mantle, Archie's friend with whom he has frequent conflicts, is an athletic and attractive teenage boy. The resemblance is obvious here.
