The much-hyped big-budget movie finally saw its release after getting delayed a number of times. But as they say, patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet and the same happened with Ram Charan and Jr.NTR starrer. The magnum opus has raked in huge sums of money, making it India's highest-grossing film so far. All credit for the jaw-dropping acting performance of the cast. And for their performance, they received a humungous paycheck. Here we bring you a look at the paycheck of the cast of RRR that they received for the periodic drama.
1. Ram Charan (Rs 45 crore): In the movie, south Indian superstar, Ram Charan was seen playing the role of Alluri Sitarama Raju, a freedom fighter who led an armed campaign against the British colonial rule. And for his performance that will be recited for years, he charged 45 crore rupees.
2. Jr NTR (Rs 45 crore); Jr. NTR, one of the highest-paid actors in the industry, was seen playing the protagonist alongside Ram. For playing the role of another legendary freedom fighter, Komaram Bheem, NTR received a paycheck of 45 crores.
3. Alia Bhatt (Rs. 9 crores): Alia Bhatt may have a small screen time in RRR. But her 9 min screen time was enough to scream her love affair with Ram’s character. For her performance, she has reportedly been paid a whopping ₹9 crores for it.
4. Ajay Devgn (Rs 35 crore): According to DNA, Ajay Devgn was paid a substantial sum of ₹35 crores for his extended cameo appearance in the magnum opus.
5. S.S. Rajamouli (30% share): For his iconic vision and marvelous craftmanship, S.S. Rajamouli is getting the 30% share of the profit that the movie will make at the box office.
