1. Kaali: A row of controversies has stormed around the poster of ‘Kaali’. Directed by Leena Manimekalai, the poster of the new documentary film, featured Hindu goddess Kaali holding a cigarette in one hand and a rainbow flag in order. Looking at the controversies, India’s High Commission in Ottawa, Canada stated Leena to withdraw the poster.
2. Dirty Politics: even after having a great message inside, the movie fell into trouble because of the poster of the movie. The poster of the movie captured the lead actress Mallika Sherawat wearing nothing but only the Indian National flag around her torso. This regarded was huge disrespect to the Tricolor and the nation. Soon all the political parties came together and forced the makers to change the poster.
3. Kurbaan: Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan’s Kurbaan also fell into controversies after the release of the poster. The Delhi Health Department issued a strict compliance notice to the producers of the mystery thriller, Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Karan Johar, Hiroo Johar, and others, for promoting smoking.

8. Hate Story: The West Bengal Censorship Board’s interference with the posters of ‘Hate Story’ had the makers in trouble as it was ordered that actress Paoli Dam’s bare back be painted blue. Calcutta High Court ordered the protagonist’s back being painted. Indeed, in a bid to tone down the risqué element of the movie posters, the Calcutta High Court prohibited their display unless the actress’s bare back was painted blue.
