Auto Expo 2023 is presently underway at New Delhi and Greater Noida and it will continue till January 18. The automobile companies are trying hard to grab the top spot in the market. They are unveiling the new passenger vehicles for the customers and introducing the EVs with new concepts and features. In upcoming decade, the market of Indian electric vehicles is expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 94.4% from 2021 to 2030. The demand for electric vehicles is increasing due to rising crude oil and conventional fuel prices. Many automobile companies such as Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai and Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. are focussing on launching and developing new electric vehicles to motivate Indian customers to purchase EVs. 1. Maruti Suzuki EVx (expected price Rs 25 lakh ex-showroom):- This electric SVU was launched on 11 January at Auto Expo 2023. It is powered by a 60kWh battery that can drive 550 kilometres in a single charge.

2. MG 4 EV (expected price Rs 30 lakh ex-showroom) :- The MG 4 comes with two battery options :- 51kWh and 64kWh. The base battery 51kWh variant produces a maximum power of 170PS and a maximum torque of 250 Nm that can be driven 0-100kmph in 7.7 seconds. The longer battery can go up to 0-100kmph in 7.9 seconds.

3. Hyundai IONIQ 5 (Rs 44.95 lakh ex-showroom) :- This Crossover Utility Vehicle (CUV) comes at the price of Rs. 44.95 lakh. This model is based on Hyundai's E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform). This model is launched in a two-wheel drive version. It is powered by a 168 kW electric motor that generates a maximum power of 229 PS and a maximum torque of 350 Nm.

4. Tata Sierra EV:- The electric SUV has featured a clean front fascia with a thin LED light bar, while the rear has a simple and classy design with a bulky bumper. The alloy wheel’s arches come with an appealing dual-tone finish.

5. Tata Harrier EV (Rs 30 lakh ex-showroom):- It has a dual-motor all-wheel drive setup. The Harrier EV gets charge from vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V). The Harrier EV is expected to have a battery capacity of about 60 kWh and offers 400 km mileage.

6. Kia EV9 Concept (expected price Rs 25 lakh):- The EV9 has a 77.4 kWh battery that can deliver a claimed range of up to 482km. It is fast 350kW charging and can charge the battery 80 per cent in under 30 minutes.

7. Hyundai IONIQ 6 (Rs 50.00 lakh showroom) :- This EV has a 53kWh battery paired with the dual motor that can be charged from 10 percent to 80 percent in 18 minutes. The top speed of this ev is 185km/h. It goes from 0 to 100km/h in just 5.1 seconds.

8. BYD Seal EV (Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom)) :- This electric sedan has an All-wheel drive (AWD) dual-motors that comes with the two battery packs- one at 61.4kWh and the other at 82.5kWh. The 61.4kWh battery produces a maximum power of 201 bhp and the 82.5kWh battery produces a maximum power of 308 bhp. The motor gives a combined output of 523 BHP, which enables the car to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds.

9. BYD Atto 3 limited edition ( Rs.33.99 lakh ex-showroom):- BYD's electric SUV is powered by a single electric motor that generates a maximum power of 204PS and a maximum torque of 310 Nm. The electric motor gets its power from a 60kWh battery and has an ARAI-claimed range of 521km. Its 80kW charging allows for a 0 to 80% charging time of 50 minutes.

10. Toyota bz4X EV ( Rs 70 lakh ex-showroom) :- Toyota Kirloskar Motor showcases bz4X EV at auto expo 2023. It is powered by two batteries:- a 63.4-kWh battery and a 65.5-kWh paired with dual-motor model. Its 6.6 kW charging takes for a 0 to 80% charging time of 30 minutes.
