With the IIT Mumbai alumnus Parag Agarwal taking over the US-based microblogging giant Twitter as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on Monday, the list of the high-profile Indian and Indian-origin honchos is only getting enlarged. A large number of technology giants, including Twitter, Google, Microsoft, and Adobe, are being led by Indian-origin techies and professionals at the moment. Acknowledging the prowess of Indian techies, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that the US has greatly benefitted from Indian talent. Musk's reaction came in response to Stripe CEO Patrick Collison's tweet in which he praised the Indians for their amazing success in the technology world. Here’s a list of the top 10 Indian-origin CEOs who are currently at the helm of top leading global tech corporations.

Sundar Pichai - Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai is an Indian-American business executive currently leading Google and its parent company. The IIT Kharagpur alumnus attended Stanford University for his Master's and did MBA from the University of Pennysilvia before he joined Goggle in 2004 and in 2015 he took over his CEO role.

Satya Nadela - Chairman and CEO of Microsoft Satya Nadela did electrical engineering at Manipal Institute of Technology in Karnataka. He did his M.S. and MBA degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and University of Chicago Booth School of Business in the US. Nadella took over the role of Microsoft CEO back in 2014.

Parag Agarwal - IIT Mumbai alumnus Parag Agarwal had started his journey in Twitter as its ads engineer and later became the CTO of the microblogging site in 2018. Parag took over the tech giant on Monday as Twitter’s new CEO after Jack Dorsey stepped down. He has been a part of the company for more than a decade and his new position adds him to the list of elite club Indian-origin CEOs.

Arvind Krishna - IBM Group CEO Arvind Krishna split his schooling at Stones Anglo Indian School, Coonoor, and St Joseph's Academy, Dehradun. The IIT Kanpur alumnus did BTech in electrical engineering, followed by a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and became the CEO of IBM in 2020

Aman Bhutani - Aman Bhutani has been heading the internet trading domain GoDaddy since 2019 as its CEO. Bhutani was earlier serving as the president of Brand Expedia Group.

Shantanu Narayen - Shantanu Narayen is the CEO, Chairman, and President of computer software company Adobe. He was the COO and president in 2005 and became the CEO in 2007. He attended the Hyderabad Public School and did his graduation from the University College of Engineering, Osmania University in Hyderabad. He moved to the states for further studies and did his masters and MBA degrees from universities there.

Aneel Bhusri - Aneel Bhusri is the CEO of cloud-based financial management and human capital management company Workday. He has also served as the Chairman of the board for about 2 years. He was born in New York and did his MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Anjali Sud - Vimeo CEO Anjali Sud is an American businesswoman who became the CEO in 2017. She had joined the company in 2014 as the General manager and head of Marketing. The leading lady grew up in Michigan and did her schooling from there. She did her graduation and masters from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard Business School.

Sanjay Mehrotra - Sanjay Mehrotra has been serving as the CEO of Micron Technology since 2017. The Indian American business executive also founded and served as CEO of Sandisk before it was acquired by Western Digital. He studied at BITS Pilani and went to UC Berkeley for higher educations.

Nikesh Arora - Nikesh Arora, Chairman of Palo Alto Networks Inc, attended Airforce School in New Delhi and then IIT Benaras for his electrical engineering. He then did an MBA from Northeastern University.
