We often see Bollywood filmmakers taking inspiration from Hollywood movies and coming up with their version of a blockbuster superhit. But surprise strikes our mind when Hollywood filmmakers take Bollywood movies as an inspiration for their blank canvas. From Delivery Man to Just Go With IT, in past, we have seen Hollywood filmmakers “blatantly copying” from Bollywood. Today here we bring you a look at the top 8 Hollywood movies that are inspired by Bollywood movies:

1. Delivery Man - Vicky Donor: Ayushmann Khurana made his Bollywood debut with a movie touching on the taboo topic of sperm donation. Inspired by the hilarious and deep plot line of the movie, Vince Vaughn, Chris Pratt, and Cobie Smulders came up with their version of Vicky Donor in 2013 and titled it Delivery Man.

2. Leap Year – Jab We Met: Not a surprise to many, the Hollywood rom-com classic Leap Year, loosely adapted the plotline of Imtiaz Ali’s Jab We Met. Even though the director of the movie refused the claims, the plot of Leap Year spoke in loud for itself. The storyline of both the movies revolves around an outgoing girl who is already in love with her man but feels for a stranger whom she met on her journey.

3. Hitch – Choti Si Baat: We all know that Bollywood comedy classic Partner is based on Hollywood movie Hitch. But many of us don’t know the fun fact that Hitch is inspired by the Hindi classic Choti Si Baat. This movie revolves around a guy who takes from a love guru to win over the love of his life.

4. Pearl Harbor – Sangam: Featuring Ben Affleck, Kate Beckinsale, and Josh Hartnett in leading roles, 2001’s Hollywood movie Pearl Harbor shares several similarities with Bollywood cult classic Sangam. The plot of both movies portrays the lives of two best friends who fall in love with a girl, with one of them sacrificing his love for their friendship.

5. Just Go With It – Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya: In Just Go With It captures Adam Sandler playing the role of a surgeon who flirts with a lady who is unhappy with her marriage. But, when he falls for a woman, he tells her he’s getting divorced and convinces his assistant Jennifer Aniston, to pretend to be his soon-to-be ex-wife to cover up for his lie. Sounds similar? It does because the plot of the movie is loosely based on Salman Khan’s Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya.

6. A Common Man – A Wednesday: Neeraj Panday broke the box office when he came up with A Wednesday. The same happened in Hollywood in 2013 when the box office witnessed the release of a common man. It happened because of the storyline of a common man being inspired on a Wednesday.

7. Win A Date With Tad Hamilton – Rangeela: The cult classic movie Rangeela, shows how a guy falls for a girl and wants to confess his feelings to her, but the girl being highly ambitious, wants to be a part of the movie industry. Even Hollywood's Win A Date With Tad Hamilton focuses on the same plot, with only one exception the girl gets a date with a guy named Tad Hamilton.

8. Fear – Darr: Apart from the name (direct translation) and the love triangle, the epic scene of the stalker, Shahrukh Khan, carving K-K-K-Kiran's name on his chest has also been adapted by James Foley in his American thriller, Fear.
