Ford Motor Company is an American multinational automobile manufacturer which mass produces vehicles around the world. It has been ruling the automobile sector for decades now, producing safe and quality vehicles for people from all walks of life. It currently sits 4th on the world’s largest manufacturer, behind companies like Volkswagen, Daimler and Toyota. Ford was found in 1903 by American industrialist Henry Ford. Headquartered in Michigan, United States, it has grown exponentially over the decades and has established its name as one of the finest car manufacturers in the world. Its latest models which are made available differently in different companies are EcoSport, Figo, Aspire, Freestyle, Endeavour and Mustang. The American multinational company has decided to update its old version of the EcoSport to give a more refreshing and sleek look as we head into the next decade. EcoSport was first launched in 2003 and a decade later was unveiled to the Indian audience as well. Since then, it has been selling successfully in the Indian market. This clears out the question of why Ford decided to update the EcoSport for India. The car will start at Rs 7.99 lakh and will increase as per the model. Here is how the EcoSport is going to look.

Ford introduced its Compact-SUV EcoSport line-up on Monday and said that they continued their tradition of bringing what consumers want and value. Its every variant has been made compelling in terms of features and price value. It can be had in five variants: Ambiente, Trend, Titanium, Titanium+ and Sports.

The new updated design looks more refreshing and sharp as compared to the older version. The fine creases that wrap around the body and more defined trims across the gates give it a bolder look. Ford stuck with its roof bars from the older version and they do give the car more personality and spur overall.

It is offered with a set of 1.5-litre petrol (122PS/149Nm) and diesel (100PS/215Nm) engines with a 5-speed MT as standard. The petrol-powered EcoSport gets the option of a 6-speed torque converter gearbox as well.

The Ford compact SUV is equipped with a sunroof, auto climate control, rain-sensing wipers, FordPass connected car tech, and up to 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Ford offers the EcoSport in a 5-seater layout. FordPass is a one-stop smartphone app. With a factory-fitted cloud-connected device, EcoSport owners can perform several vehicle operations — like starting, stopping, locking or unlocking remotely, using this app.

It will be competing with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Toyota Urban Cruiser, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, Nissan Magnite, Kia Sonet, and the upcoming Renault Kiger.
