Italian luxury car brand Ferrari is all set to launch its all-new sports SUV supercar called Purosangue. Scheduled to launch in January 2022, the Purosangue will be launched at a price tag of around Rs 3 – Rs 3.35 crore. After several rival brands including Porsche and Lamborghini have all launched their successful performance SUVs, the prancing horse looks to make its mark on the SUV world market. However, rumours have been suggesting that Ferrari will take a conservative approach and will make it a crossover rather than a full-blown SUV. It might resemble the GTC4 Lusso as Ferrari was seen testing its new car in the Lusso body. it will have an all-aluminium chassis and that the B-pillar will be eliminated with the use of suicidal doors. Ferrari has remained tight-lipped about their first-ever SUV and at this point but renders and testing have revealed a lot about the car. The car has got even more significant as former Ferrari boss Luca di Montezemolo routinely proclaimed the company would never build an SUV. However, the Italian company has not named its new car an SUV. Here are 5 rumoured features about the Ferrari Purosangue:

The Purosangue will therefore be available with a version of Ferrari's 3.9-liter twin-turbo V-8 under its long hood, supported by a 161-hp electric motor to produce a total system output of about 700 hp. It will also be All-Wheel Drive (AWD) and will get a separate body train from GTC4Lusso. It is also rumoured to get a mighty natural aspirated V12 engine.

It will send its might to the ground via an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It is also expected to have a height-adjustable suspension and a specially developed version of Ferrari's acclaimed Side Slip Control vehicle dynamics system tuned to handle low-friction surfaces such as gravel and snow.

For the fuel economy, it is expected to come with a battery pack for additional miles. The battery will also enhance the power of the car, providing a boost to the fuel engine. However, it is still expected to give out fewer kilometres per hour than a standard family SUV.

From the outside, it looks like a bigger Roma, with similar tail lights. However, the front end of the car looks much aesthetic and the curves all around make it look sleeker while giving a character. For the interior, it is going to line up with some of Ferrari’s finest interior leathers and finishes.

Purosangue will enter the horsepower wars against the 626-hp Bentley Bentayga, the 641-hp Lamborghini Urus, and the Aston Martin DBX, which is powered by a 542-hp V-8 engine supplied by the powertrain geniuses at Mercedes-AMG.
