Microsoft launched the Surface Duo 2 last week. The Duo 2 is the second iteration of the company’s dual-screen smartphone efforts. The first iteration was not something we would call a success. At best, we could say that it got mixed reviews. The foldable improves on its predecessor in several key areas, including having a Snapdragon 888 processor, better cameras, and a refined design. It also supports 5G and NFC, both of which the original Duo lacks. However, the Surface Duo 2 received many negative to mixed reviews after its launch, praising the updated hardware but lamenting ongoing software issues. Preorders have been open for weeks. But since the device is now available, reviews have come out, helping people decide if the Duo 2 is worth its $1,500 price tag. Here are 10 features of the newly launched Duo 2 smartphone my Microsft:

1. The power button — which now doubles as the fingerprint sensor — and volume rocker live on the right edge of the device, much like before.

2. The USB-C port also occupies the same space at the base of the right screen, while the SIM tray has been relocated to just below the left-hand screen.

3. In addition to 128GB and 256GB options, Microsoft has added a larger 512GB storage configuration and bumped the RAM up to 8GB for all models.

4. There's a Snapdragon 888 powering the device and bringing along both sub-6Ghz and mmWave 5G to the Duo 2.

5. The dual AMOLED displays have gotten a bump in size and smoothness, going from 5.6 inches on the OG model to 5.8 inches on the Duo 2, with a corresponding increase in resolution to 1344x1892. As a result, when you unfold the Duo 2, you'll now be greeted by an 8.3-inch display.

6. The colours are vibrant, the blacks are black, and it’s absolutely delightful. They support pen input from any MPP pen, and you can even get a case that will let you attach and charge the Slim Pen 2.

7. 12MP wide-angle lens with f/1.7 aperture, 12MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture and 2x optical zoom, and 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and 110-degree field of view.

8. It can shoot up to 4k60 video, compose Portrait mode shots with adjustable depth, and even take low-light shots with a new night mode.

9. It also comes with a glance bar that acts as a "peek view" of one of the curved interior screens which can display missed calls, text messages, battery charging level, and volume level.

10. For the battery, it has got a 4,340mAh battery, that can last all day depending on how you use it.
