Rivaba Jadeja, wife of Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja, has got a ticket from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to fight the upcoming Gujarat State assembly elections. She will contest the elections from the Jamnagar (North) constituency. Dropping current BJP MLA Dharmendrasinh M Jadeja from the Jamnagar North constituency, BJP has fielded Rivaba Jadeja. Rivaba is a mechanical engineer who joined the BJP in 2019. She entered the sphere of politics after getting inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Rivaba is actively involved in social work, and also she has served as a member of the Karni Sena in Gujarat. Today, we bring to you some lesser-known facts about the BJP candidate from Jamnagar (North) seat, Rivaba Jadeja:

Rivaba is a mechanical engineer by education. Earlier she thought to become a government official, but life changed after she met Jadeja.

Reportedly, Rivaba is the only child of her parents. Along with her studies, she used to handle the management of his father's two schools too.

Rivaba also served as the leader of the Karni Sena. Karni Sena appointed her as the head of the women's wing of Gujarat.

Rivaba is inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She was inspired to enter politics after listening to PM Modi's speech at an event. "Before criticizing politicians, one should join politics and try to change society, " said PM Modi, which inspired Rivaba to enter politics.

Speculations are being made that Naina Jadeja, sister of Ravindra Jadeja may fight the elections from Jamnagar (North) seat too, for Congress. Naina Jadeja had joined the Congress in the same year as Rivaba, in 2019.

If she gets elected as an MLA from Jamnagar (North), Rivaba will become the first MLA wife of an Indian cricketer.

Besides social work and party work, Rivaba looks after her daughter, and her husband Jadeja's restaurant in Rajkot too.
