The actress was born on August 30th, 1976, in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Her father, Col. Niranjan Singh, was an ex-Indian Army officer.
She completed her schooling at Sophia Girls’ School in Meerut and graduated in Home Science from Lady Irwin College in New Delhi.
The actress started her career in modelling and gained fame from the album "Tum To Thehre Pardesi," sung by Altaf Raja.
