It is hard to find a love story in Bollywood that makes us believe in true love. We expected the love story of Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan to be one until they declared their divorce in 2014. The first meeting of the duo was hell filmy and led to a dreamy love story but soon the couple started facing trouble in their heaven and decided to call it off after being together for 14 years. The couple got married back in 2000 and are the proud parents of two adorable kids, Hrehaan Roshan and Hridhaan Roshan.
The love story of Hrithik and Sussanne started when their eyes met at Mumbai road, where they both were stuck in traffic. Hrithik fell in love with her at the very first sight.
After meeting her in traffic, he met her in a party and without losing any chance he went to her and approached her. They soon became friends and love blossomed between them.
Despite the age difference of 4 years between Hrithik and Sussanne, their hearts had started beating for each other. Soon, they had started dating, and Hrithik wasn’t even a star then.
After the success of his movie, Hrithik received around 30,000 marriage proposals but he decided to marry his only love Sussanne. The couple got married on December 20, 2000.
On March 28, 2006, Hrithik and Sussanne welcomed their firstborn, whom they have named, Hrehaan Roshan. Later, on May 1, 2008, the family of three had turned into a family of four as they had welcomed another baby boy, Hridaan Roshan into their lives.
But soon the couple started facing trouble in their fairy tale story. Tired of fights, the couple decided to call it off but neither of them ever revealed the real reason behind the break-up. In an interview with Femina, Sussanne said, “We had reached a stage in our lives where I decided that it’s better we weren’t together. It was important to be aware and not be in a false relationship.”
But as per the reports, the reason behind their divorce was Hrithik’s rumoured relationship with co-actress Kangana Ranaut. After the release of Krish 3, the media was filled with he news of Kangana dating Hrithik.
Even though the duo has parted ways, none of them hold grudges against one another. According to Sussanne Khan, they are “very committed” to their sons Hrehaan and Hridhaan, and would always put their interests first.
