He falls in love with one of his students -- quite a radical idea for that era. But what’s really hilarious is that Lalita Pawar falls for the ‘professor’. It had one funny situation after another and Shammi outdid himself playing the old professor.
8. China Town: The movie is said to have the same plotline as Don but the acting performance given by Shammi in this movie was like never seen before. The movie captured him playing a double role, that of a club singer and of a criminal.
9. Kashmir ki Kali: Rajiv Pal (Shammi Kapoor) is forced to marry, but manages to escape and flee to Kashmir. There he meets Kashmir girl Champa Chameli and falls in love with the local girl. Later Rajiv finds out the shocking truth that will prevent him from marrying his love. This Shakti Samanta-directed film was a huge commercial success.
10. Andaz: The movie stars Rajesh Khanna, Hema Malini, Simi Garewal, and Aruna Irani and was directed by Ramesh Sippy. The movie is based on a romantic story. Sheetal played by Hema Malini is a widow and a school teacher who lives with her son after her husband’s death.
