Premium car manufacturing company BMW has updated its two popular SUVs- fourth generation X5 and third generation X6 - with some exterior and interior upgrades to maintain the global market and secure its position ahead of its rivals. The SUVs have been revealed online and will head to production in April 2023. The BMW X5 is designed to unmatched comfort and to raise driving pleasure many notches higher. These two SUVs have been modified with a new digital display, latest technology, innovative powertrain components to achieve impressive performance values and driving dynamics. The changes of X5 and X6 are similar to the BMW X7. Let's take a quick look at the new features that are being delivered by the company in X5 and X6 SUVs.
1. Engine:- With the change in engine, X5 and X6 get a 4395 cc petrol engine that produces a maximum power of 407 bhp at 5500-6400rpm and a maximum torque of 600Nm at 1750~4500rpm.
2. 8-speed automatic gearbox:- The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The company said that the new X5 and X6 SUVs can accelerate to 0-96 kmph in 5.2 seconds.
4. Interior:- Looking to the interior, it has Automatic Air Conditioning With 4-Zone Control. The automatic air conditioning with 4-zone control allows individual climate comfort for the driver and front passenger, as well as for the right and left rear passengers. The X5 xDrive50i and X6 xDrive40i also get Highway Assistant as an option.
5. Exterior:- Moving to the exterior of the new SUVs it features one-piece double kidney grille . The innovative BMW Laserlight is meant to catch the eye: X-shaped, blue elements in the headlight tubes give the headlights a highly technical, X-specific expression. With a range of up to 500 m, the laser spot ensures safety during night drives.
7. Infotainment:- The X5 and X6 SUVs come with a 14.9-inch digital cluster with a 12.3-inch infotainment system. These SUVs has a 15-colour ambient lighting , BMW Head-Up Display, BMW Live Cockpit Professional, Parking Assistant Plus With Reversing Assistant, Adaptive 2-Axle Air Suspension and The Intelligent BMW XDrive.
8. Safety:- The X5 and X6 SUVs come with Anti-lock Braking System that controls in all the horrific braking situations All-wheel drive system smoothly and variably distributes drive power to the front and rear wheels for maximum traction, driving dynamics and safety in every driving situation.
9. Colour:- These SUVs come in Gray, Green and Marina Bay Blue, Blue Ridge Mountain metallic and Brooklyn Grey metallic.
10. Price:- The current-gen X5 went on sale in India at the cost of Rs. 76.90 Lakh, and the price of X6 is 1.39 Cr in India. We expect the updated SUVs to come to our shores by the end of this year or early next year.
