Bayerische Motoren Werke AG, better known as BMW is a German multinational automobile company which produces luxury vehicles and motorcycles. Founded in 1916, it started as an aircraft manufacturing company and manufactured aeroplanes during both the world wars. Over the years, BMW has perfected the art of building affordable luxury vehicles which are priced moderately enough for people owning small businesses. However, the German giant does not only specialises in luxury but likes to compete in the sports cars segment as well. It racing line, the ‘M’ label has been well known in the automobile sector for its unmatched performance. But the true essence of a BMW comes to life when the amalgamation of the M label is witnessed with its top luxury line, the 8 series. This combination gives birth to the M8, a perfect blend of performance with uber-luxury. The price, however, reflects the offering from BMW as it starts from 2.17 crore ex-showroom in Delhi. From the design of the car to the interior features, here is how the BMW M8 looks like.

The M8 series of BMW comes in many variants such as the Coupe and the Competition. The most common and well-known one is the Coupe, which has swerving swoops all over its body. It is supposedly a 4 seater but with the roofline swooping really low towards the back, there is next to no space for an adult to sit at the back.

The back seats might make the M8 coupe less favourable for a family person, but there is a lot of other things that make it a special car. The M8 boasts a super responsive S63 Twin-Turbocharged V8 591 bhp engine which pumps out 750 Nm of torque and has a maximum speed of 250 km/hr. It runs on petrol via an 8-speed automatic gearbox and consists of other features like AWD, Regenerative braking and a manual override feature which lets the driver get in the action straight away.

Even though it is a 4 seater car, there are only two doors and the back passengers require to pull the front seats down to get in the back. The car weighs 1960kg and has a wheelbase of 2827mm which gives the driver and the front passenger ample of space to get comfortable in. The 420 litres of boot space is not bad for a sports car as well.

The front seats get 16 way electrically adjustable with 2 memory pre-sets. Seat upholstery with dashboard material is top quality leather and the interior brags a two-tone finish. The other remarkable interior design is the BMW iDrive infotainment system, dual-zone climate control, a driver’s display with digital speed and rev dials. It has a quite responsive voice command and gesture controls to operate the infotainment system.

It comes in 6 different colours and can be customised further as per customers' behest. Distinctive M specific design elements such as the kidney grille frame and the sports exhaust system in high-gloss chrome create exclusive exterior accents and cement the overall luxury with performance combination. The car starts from 2.17crore ex-showroom price in India and can go up with the additional packages and insurances.
