Doesn't matter if you were born in the 1970s or 2001, Transformers have always been special to children and adults as action figures, cartoons or the more recent money-minting Michael Bay movies. The point we are trying to make is, irrespective of your age; you've always wanted a Bumblebee parked in your garage with Optimus Prime looking over. Well, that's what a Turkish company seems to have finally done. The company launched the customised BMW 3 series in 2016 and was displayed widely to the audience.

Letvision is a tech company based out of Ankara, Turkey which recently unveiled a transforming robot based on the BMW 3 Series Coupe called 'Letron'. A series of videos by the company reveals a red 3 Series Transformer being put through its paces. However, before you get excited, the Transformer is being operated with remote control.

Guided by an operator, a bright red BMW 3 Series drives into the parking lot towards the operator and that's when the fantasy figure comes to life. You can see the Bimmer transform into a robot. The pseudo-BumbleBee stands, moves its head, flexes its mechanical arms, flashes lights and even transforms once again into a car before driving away.

At the operator's command, Letrons rolls into a parking lot set against a backdrop of lawn sculptures, dry fountains, and incongruous giant suits of cartoon armour. It drives slowly toward the operator and stops dead, facing the camera. Then the magic happens. Slowly but surely, the car unfolds and stands up, revealing a stiff-looking robot beneath the 3 Series' flanks. Once standing, the robot swivels its head around, flexes for the camera, flashes its lights for dramatic effect, then folds back up into car mode and drives away.

The company says that Letron is a prototype and is currently the only operational model of its kind based on the BMW family. Letvision says it has plans to unleash more transforming cars soon with names like Bizmut, which pay homage to Optimus Prime; as well as Argon and Wolfram.

Details aren't clear yet as to when Letvision plans to introduce its complete range and prices too are uncertain at this point. Nevertheless, the Letron transformer makes for a gigantic party piece of sorts and clearly just the right sized conversation starter.
