German automaker Audi jumped onto the electric car bandwagon in 2019 with its hotly anticipated e-Tron. Now, the luxury car producer has decided to launch the e-Tron in India at an expected price of Rs 2 crore (ex-showroom). The car is set to launch on September 22, 2021, and is expected to offer more than just electric vehicle perks. As of yet, it has failed to find a competitor, as it offers the best of both worlds, fine luxury as well as supercar speed. With a sleek design, lush interior, huge battery pack and fun-to-drive, it offers a lot to look out for. Ever since the rise of Tesla, battery-powered cars have been dominating sales in first world countries. Trying to replicate the same success in India, carmakers are trying every hand they have to establish the dominance of electric cars. However, it is a tough ask, since the cost of most of these electric vehicles bars the middle class from even thinking of purchasing one. But with the revelations in the battery production costs, electric vehicles might soon dominate even the likes of third-world countries. Here are 10 features of the all-electric Audi e-Tron:

1. The Audi e-Tron GT is powered by two electric motors, backed up by a 95kWh battery pack. The standard model produces 476PS of power and 630Nm of torque.

2. The e-Tron GT offers a claimed WLTP range of up to 487km. Thee-Tron GT gets an electric all-wheel drivetrain along with four-wheel steering (optional).

3. The standard variant hits the 0-100kmph mark in 4.1 seconds with a top speed of 245kmph, whereas the RS does the job in 3.3 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 250kmph.

4. The 2022 Audi e-Tron GT is a bold-looking electric car with deep engineering ties to the Porsche Taycan, as both falls under the same car group of Volkswagen Auto.

5. Featuring a fresh iteration of Audi’s distinctive front grille, accentuated rear fenders, and more sculptured design compared to the R8 or other more clean-cut sportscars

6. While the e-Tron GT's infotainment system isn't as touchscreen-heavy as other Audi models such as the A7 sedan and e-Tron SUV, it's still visually exciting and loaded with popular content.

7. The central touchscreen measures 10.1 inches and works with steering-wheel-mounted controls and voice-recognition software.

8. Along with a subscription-based Wi-Fi hotspot, the e-Tron GT is available with wireless charging and a powerful 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.

9. The all-electric sedan has myriad driver-assistance technology, including adaptive cruise control as well as remote self-parking assist, which allows the driver to park the car via a smartphone app.

10. Audi has a competitive limited warranty that aligns with most luxury rivals. The company also covers the components of its electric vehicles for eight years or 100,000 miles. While it does provide some complimentary maintenance, it's one of the shortest periods on the market.
