Ampere is one of the leading names in the Indian auto sector. The company has unveiled its new electric two wheeler called Primus electric scooter in the electric vehicles market. The new Primus electric vehicle was showcased during the Auto Expo 2023, now it's officially launched by the company. The Primus e-scooter is powered by a mid- mounted motor that gives a high-end, faster, safer and better performance while riding. Primus has a modern appeal for millennial commuters with a discerning taste. It comes with a powerful battery that takes very short time for charging. Here are the top 10 features of the new e-scooter Ampere Primus.

1. Battery :- Ampere Primus is powered by a 48V, 3KWh, Lithium Ferro Phosphate battery that claims to give a range of 107km in Power mode on a single charge. The battery takes 5 hrs for full charge when plugged into a regular 5A socket.

2. Top speed:- The company claims that the new Primus can ride at a top speed of 77 kmph and can accelerate from 0 to 40 kph in 5 seconds.

3. Design:- Ampere Primus follows a strong ,elegant and dynamic body design. It is featured with a step-up seat for ergonomic seating posture, a single-piece pillion grabrail, an apron-mounted front turn indicator, long leg room and a tall headlight.

4. Connectivity:- The Primus gets a digital instrument cluster, track trips, distance, battery status with seamless bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and notification alerts through the Ampere app.

5. Brakes :- On both wheels, it has a IP67 Motor with water ingress resistance, drum and Combi brake system, a rear spring, and telescopic front forks.

6. Three Diving Mode:- The Ampere Primus is equipped with three riding modes – Power, City and Eco – as well as a Reverse mode.

7. Colour:- The new Ampere Primus comes in four stylish and sleek colours -- Royal Orange, Havelock Blue, Himalayan White and Buck Black.

8. Other features:- It includes some other features like 22 litres storage capacity; 155 mm ground clearance, 130 kg kerb weight and 1400 mm wheelbase.

9. Competitors:- As for the rivals, the Ampere Primus competes with the base variants of the TVS iQube and Ola S1.

10. Price:- Ampere has launched the Primus electric scooter at Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and the bookings are open at a token amount of Rs 499 for a limited period online or at the dealerships.
