No denying that 2020 was a really tough year, the whole world went through a lot. But still, Bollywood and OTT platforms gave their best to keep us entertained amid the lockdown blues. Some very awaited movies missed the theatrical release, but came home to the audiences via OTT platforms. From Dil Bechara to Angrezi Medium, Bollywood has given fans blockbusters after blockbusters. Sanjana Sanghi- Dil Bechara: Dil Bechara was one of the most loved movies of 2020 that was directed by Mukesh Chabbra. Sushant Singh Rajput’s character was the highlight of the movie but Sanjana’s character of Kizie made the movie a whole and made fans smile during the tearful love saga.
Kajol Devgan- Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior: Directed by Om Raut, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior was a movie to be relished. Fans loved the portrayal of Tanhaji played by Ajay Devgan but Kajol’s acting gave another charm to the movie. Fans loved the way Kajol made that character lively.
Shristi Shrivastava- Gulabo Sitabo: Gulabo Sitabo is a film directed by Shoojit Sircar, produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar, and written by Juhi Chaturvedi. The Jodi of Ayushmann Khuranna and Amitabh Bachchan stole fans’ hearts. The newcomer Shristi Shrivastava delivered an exceptionally brilliant performance. In this movie, Shristi played the complex role of Ayushmann’s sister.
Radhika Madan- Angrezi Medium: Directed by Homi Adajania, Angrezi Medium is really close to fans’ hearts as this was the last movie of Irrfan Khan. Every cast member gave a marvelous performance, but Radhika Madan who played the lead role of Tarika stole the show. Radhika’s tremendous acting helped her to stand out among the cast full of stars.
Seema Bhargava – Chintu Ka Birthday: Chintu Ka Birthday is a film written and directed by Devanshu Singh and Satyanshu Singh. It casts Vinay Pathak as Madan Tiwary, Tillotama Shome as Sudha Tiwary, Seema Bhargava as Nani. Though Seema is seen playing many supporting roles but this time she collected more praises than the lead actors.
Fatima Sana Shaikh- Ludo: Ludo is a film directed by Anurag Basu for Netflix. The film casts Abhishek Bachchan as Batukeshwar Tiwari (Bittu), Aditya Roy Kapur as Akash Chauhan, Rajkummar Rao as Alok Kumar Gupta (Alu, Pankaj Tripathi as Rahul Satyendra Tripathi (Sattu) and Fatima Sana Shaikh as Pinky Jain. Fatima was once again seen in a complex role and gained wide-spread recognition for it as well.
Radhika Apte- Raat Akeli Hai: Raat Akeli Hai is a Netflix movie directed by Honey Treham. Nawazuddin Siddiqui was the heart of the movie but Radhika Apte was the spine. With her mesmerizing acting, Radhika has already established herself as an actor. Radhika added another feather in her capy with her stellar performance in this movie.
Indira Tiwari- Serious Man: Serious Men is a film directed by Sudhir Mishra. It casts Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Ayyan Mani & Indira Tiwari as Oja Mani. Indira plays the simple role of Mani's wife & won the hearts of the audiences.
