It is time to move over for Microsoft's Satya Nadella, Google's Sundar Pichai or Adobe's Shantanu Narayan as new faces have joined the high-profile league of Indian-led businesses, calling the shots in the Silicon Valley and leading the global digital transformation wave. Many recent appointments for key roles in big tech corporations have created ripples in and around the technology world. Multi-National Companies (MNCs) like Cognizant, IBM, VMware, Google Cloud and many others rejigged key leadership positions in the company. Most of these positions have been bagged by Indian origin techies. Here is the list of five newly appointed Indian-origin tech masters who have been assigned key roles in big corporations around the world:

Rajesh Nambiar: Rajesh Nambiar was recently named Cognizant Technology Solutions' president of Digital Business & Technology (DB&T). Earlier in his career, he held the chairman and managing director post of India operations. Nambiar also served as the global leader of IBM Application Services.

Arvind Krishna: Arvind Krishna, 58, became the chief executive officer of IBM, and a member of the Board of Directors in April 2020. Krishna joined IBM in 1990. He led the IBM Cloud and Cognitive Software business unit from 2017 to April 2020 and was a principal architect of the acquisition of Red Hat, the largest acquisition in the Company’s history. Krishna also served as the director of IBM’s Research division from 2015 to 2020.

Raghu Raghuram: Raghu Raghuram joined VMware in 2003 and currently serves as the company’s CEO. He is an industry thought leader and has successfully steered the company’s strategy and technology evolution across VMware’s history. During his tenure at VMware, Raghuram has held multiple leadership roles, most recently Chief Operating Officer, Products and Cloud Services.

Thomas Kurian: Thomas Kurian is the chief executive officer of Google Cloud, which he joined in January 2019, and a former senior executive at Oracle Corporation. Kurian joined Oracle in 1996, holding various product management and development positions. He joined Google's Cloud organization in November 2018. During his first year at Google, Kurian focused on selling GSuite applications to enterprise clients.

Karan Bajwa: Google Cloud recently announced the elevation of Karan Bajwa as its new leader for the Asia Pacific. Presently, Bajwa leads Google Cloud in India. He’s now in charge of regional revenue and go-to-market operations for Google Cloud, including on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Workspace from today, the company announced in a statement.
