The 2022 Maruti Baleno was launched on Wednesday. The hatchback has been one of the most popular cars in its segment. The model will be made available to the Indian public with modified exteriors as well as interiors. Here are the key features of the model:
The 2022 Baleno will have a 1.2L petrol engine with an 1197cc engine displacement. The fuel type is petrol. The maximum power generated is 88.50bph at 6000 rpm (revolutions per minute). The maximum torque generated is 113 Nm at 4400 rpm.
The car has a manual/automatic transmission with a 5-speed gear box. The mileage (fuel economy) is 22.35 kmpl. The 2022 Baleno model has tubeless, radial tyres. It has power-steering.
The car has a seating capacity for 5 individuals and a boot space of 318 litres. The fuel capacity is 37 litres. The wheelbase is 25.2m wide.
It boasts Android Auto/Apple CarPlay connectivity systems with 4 speakers. It also has a 17.78cm SmartPlay Studio touch-screen and 12V power outlets. It has power windows for both front and rear seats. It also has rear parking sensors.
In terms of safety, it has airbags for both driver and passenger as well as a central locking system.
The 2022 Baleno will feature a wider radiator grill along with newly designed headlights with L-shaped LEDs on its either side. The colour options include Nexa Blue, Luxe Beige, Grandeur Grey, Opulent Red, Splendid Silver and Arctic White.
2022 Baleno also comes with an Electronic Stability Control (ESC, a computerized technology which improves stability of a vehicle in an event of skidding by detecting and reducing the loss of traction between wheel and road). The car will also make rides comfortable as it will come with new climatic controllers.
Over the side, the car will get minor chrome treatment on the window lines. Also, there will be redesigned 10-spoke alloy wheels for a fresher look. It will also be equipped with rear air-conditioner vent for the comfort of the rear-seat passengers.
