Hyundai launched its 3rd generation i20 on November 5, 2020. Major upgrades were expected in the i20 and were rightfully delivered by the country’s second-largest car manufacturer. Hyundai has cemented its position in the Indian automobile sector by launching budget hatchbacks as well as premium SUVs all around. The South Korean giant is only second to Maruti Suzuki in the Indian automobile market. Their upgraded i20 or as they are calling it, ‘the all-new’ i20 stands right on the sweet-spot of the average Indian car buyer. It starts from a base range of Rs 6.79 lakh and goes up to 11.32 lakh which includes all its premium features and better engines. “It's really a revolution, mainly because of our new design identity Sensuous Sportiness.” Raf van Nuffel, Head of Product Marketing & Pricing at Hyundai Motor said. Let’s take a look at the new i20.

Hyundai's all-new i20 rocks a completely renovated design from its predecessors. The body of the car has been moulded into a sportier look with the rear bumper getting an entirely new look. The front headlamps have also been sharpened to give the car a more aggressive look.

The interior is no indifferent to renovation as it gets a lush material refinement throughout. The attention to detail in this interior is commendable and so is the overall comfort. It gets a new 4-spoke wheel, three drive mode colours (Blue as seen here for Normal, green for Eco and red for Sport mode), sleeker horizontal blades at the dashboard, and a 10.25'' Audio Video Navigation (AVN) system.

The overall interior of the car remains rich in taste throughout inside. A blue LED ambient light enhances the entire mood at night while seeming pleasant on the eye. The back seats come with enough space to fit 3 people making it a 5-seater car. It carries a wide boot space of 311 litres and Auto Climate Control with other things.

The bold creases at the side which span all over the car give it a more refined and aggressive look. It comes in 9 different colours, Aqua Turquoise, Aurora Grey, brass, Dragon Red, intense Blue, Phantom Black, Polar White, Slate Blue, Tomato Red and Sleek Silver.

The price of the new Hyundai i20 starts at Rs.6.79 and goes up to Rs11.32 lakh. The variable engine configuration offered by Hyundai includes Magna, Sportz, Asta and Asta. The company promises a milage of around 25.2 kmpl at the highway. The max power offered is 118 bhp with 171 pounds of torque.
