The LGBTQ community has been garnering major support these past few years and celebrities are no exception. In 2020, several famous celebrities came out in the open and owned up to their association with the community, bracing their true selves on social media amidst their fans. On all online platforms, from Twitter to TikTok, TV and movie actors and Youtubers alike have been vocal all year round about their own sexuality, making big announcements and being heavily supported by their fanbases. Here's a list of the ten most famous celebrities who came out as LGBTQ in 2020

DJ Qualls : Actor DJ Qualls announced his coming out on his Twitter account in January, 'been gay this whole time'. On his appearance in Comedy Central's The Jim Jeffries Show, the 41-year old 'Road Trip' fame actor talked about his sexuality.

Justice Smith : Showing support for Black trans and queer lives in June, actor Justice Smith took to his instagram and came out as a black queer man. He also announced his relationship with actor Nicholas Ashe.

Tana Mongeau: Youtube sensation , Tana Mongeau opened up about her sexuality in honour of pride month. She revealed herself as "pansexual as hell" on twitter after making headlines about her relationship with Bella Thorne earlier.

Nikkie de Jager : Youtube makeup artist, famous as Nikkie tutorials, posted a video on her channel revealing that she is a transgender woman, earlier this year. Her video garnered over 20 million views in two days, besides trending on Twitter.

Jameela Jamil :After facing backlash over being cast as judge in an HBO show, actress Jameela Jamil identified as 'queer' on Twitter and also discussed her struggle due to being from the south Asian community in February of this year.

Francois Arnaud: Schitt's Creek actor, Francois Arnaud, posted an instagram story on the occasion of Bi Visibility day in September. He came out as a bisexual man, in order to fight the stigma and support others of the community.

Nikki Blonsky : 'Hairspray' fame Nikki Blonksy came out as gay just before Pride month came to and end in later June. She posted a video of herself on TikTok playing out to Diana Ross in the background.

Niecy Nash : 'Claws' star announced her marriage to new wife, singer Jessica Betts in an instagram post in September. She owned up to her queer status after separating from husband Jay Tucker in 2019.

Lily Reinhart: 'Riverdale' fame, Lily Reinhart, posted an instagram story in early June coming out as a 'proud bisexual woman'. She shared the news in support of LGBTQ for the Black Lives Matter protest.

Elliot Page : Actor Elliot Page, formerly known as Ellen Page, took to her Twitter earlier in December, declaring himself as a transgender man. Page had already come out as gay back in 2014 but revealed his true identify this year only.
