Delhi Anticipates Monsoon's Arrival Within 2-3 Days, IMD Reports

Comparing to the recent years, IMD data reveals that it came on June 26 last year, June 30 in 2022, July 13 in 2021, and June 25 in 2020.

According to IMD, Delhi is now likely to trace the exponent of the Monsoon within the next two to three days and bring much-needed relief from the scorching summer heat. In its release issued on Thursday, the IMD indicated that conditions are getting favorable for the southwest monsoon to advance into the national capital.

Thursday morning showers in parts of Delhi, a much-needed respite from the scorching temperature as the mercury dipped to 35.4-degree Celsius with the city receiving an assistant of 5.2 mm of rainfall between 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Rainfall in parts of Delhi: Palam recorded 17.6 mm, Lodhi Colony received 9.6 mm and Ridge saw 6.2 mm.

Following the rain, Delhi witnessed a sharp fall of four degrees in the maximum temperatures compared to the high of 39 degrees Celsius recorded on Saturday, according to the IMD.
