Supreme Court Defers Immediate Hearing on Request for CBI and ED Probe into Alleged NEET-UG Paper Leak

In the last hearings, the apex court had rejected the prayers for deferring commencement of admission counselling and clearly stated that it would not issue any interim orders to stay counselling processes for medical programs post the NEET-UG examination.

Meanwhile, the Central government had recently ordered an investigation into allegations of paper leak and irregularities during the offline OMR-mode NEET-UG 2024 exam conducted on May 5 by the CBI. NEET-UG is taken by aspirants for undergraduate medical courses and is conducted by the National Testing Agency.
