State Bank of India Distributes Rs 6,959 Crore Dividend to Government

In an official statement issued by the Ministry of Finance, "@nsitharaman receives a dividend cheque of Rs 6,959.29 crore for FY 2023-24 from @TheOfficialSBI Chairman Shri Dinesh Kumar Khara."

State Bank of India, the nation's largest lender, has offered the highest-ever dividend cheque of Rs 6,959 crore to the government for FY 2023-24. The cheque was handed over by Dinesh Kumar Khara, Chairman, SBI, to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the presence of Vivek Joshi, Secretary, Department of Financial Services.

SBI declared a dividend of Rs 13.70 per share for the financial year 2024 against a dividend of Rs 11.30 per equity distributed in the previous year.

Consolidated net profit rose to an all-time high of Rs 67,085 crore in FY24 from Rs 55,648 crore earned in the previous fiscal year.
