As per the notification released by the state government, all non-essential services, including state government offices and affiliated organizations, will remain closed on April 17th, honoring the occasion of Ram Navami.

Furthermore, the court has issued a directive to halt any further legal actions pertaining to the case lodged against Santu Pan at the Sandeshkhali police station. This decision came to light following a petition filed by the journalist himself, employed with Republic Bangla, seeking relief from the legal entanglement.

Several pockets in the Rishra area turned into virtual battlefields on late Sunday evening following clashes over the Ram Navami procession there. An organisation, Anjani Putra Sena, took out a procession at Sandhyabazar area of Shibpur on the occasion of Ram Navami. ED sources said that now they are trying to track the two-way money trail in these bank accounts, the first being the source from where such huge amounts were transferred to these accounts and the second being the channels where such funds were transferred in due course.

The locals have confirmed that Chatterjee, currently the state commerce & industries minister, used to frequent this garden-house along with his close aide, Arpita Mukherjee, who is also being grilled by ED currently in relation to the WBSSC recruitment irregularities scam.
