Lenovo India logs $2.2 bn in sales with 38% YoY growth

The total revenue for all Lenovo businesses in India was $2.2 billion for the full fiscal year ending March 31, representing a year-on-year increase of 38 per cent. It was supported by nearly doubling the volume of manufactured PCs and smartphones in India while increasing locally manufactured tablets manifold, said the company.
Despite decline, Lenovo tops global PC market in Q4 2021

The decline was due to the slowed US market, weak Chromebook demand and supply chain issues, which impeded Lenovo's ability to supply PCs to enterprise customers. These factors also contributed to HP's 4 per cent year-over-year decline. However, HP's decline was tempered by robust growth in the Asia-Pacific market. HP with 21.1 per cent share was second, followed by Dell with 19.5 per cent global market share in Q4.
Notebook PC market delivers 8% growth in Q3: Report

According to Strategy Analytics, Lenovo topped the chart for a fourth consecutive quarter with 15.3 million notebooks shipped and a 23 per cent share of the market, up 5 per cent from 2020. "It is worth noting that the shortage of components and rising prices for manufacturing and freight costs also delayed some orders for many vendors. In other words, shipments could have been even higher," Industry analyst Chirag Upadhyay said in a statement. HP followed with 14.3 million units shipped and a 21 per cent market share, down 5 per cent YoY, while Dell finished up 50 per cent at 12.2 million shipments for an 18 per cent slice of the pie.

Lenovo led the segment with 23.9 per cent market share, followed by HP Inc at 22.2 per cent and Dell at 16.7 per cent market share globally. Apple was fourth with 7.4 per cent share and Acer closed the top 5 list with 7.3 per cent share. The surge in PC demand continued through the second quarter of 2021, despite global component shortages and logistics issues, according to IDC's Worldwide Quarterly Personal Computing Device Tracker.
