The new album will most likely be released when the BTS regroups. During an appearance on Bloomberg Screentime, Bang Si-hyuk, who is the founder of the Korean music label HYBE which launched BTS, shared the news of the upcoming anniversary album.

The album was dropped alongside the music video of the their track ‘Chasing That Feeling’, a peppy 1980s styled pop track which lends credence to the statement, is ‘Old is gold’

As reported by Billboard, this new development took place after two men who claim Michael Jackson sexually abused them as children can pursue their lawsuits against companies that were owned by the late singer, a California appeals court ruled Friday, August 18.

The report was given by the group’s label, the South Korean company Big Hit Entertainment on Weverse, who also produced the track.

The music video highlights the darker and emotional approach of the track as V is shown sitting at his home in a messy bed, looking all gloomy and depressed as he misses his partner.

The album was announced by the South Korean company BigHit Music, which said “Hello. This is BIGHIT MUSIC. We are excited to share more details about the release of BTS member V’s solo album ‘Layover'".

He is the second BTS member with a Hot 100 leader following his groupmate Jimin, who reigned the chart after his song 'Like Crazy' launched at No.1 back in April, reports aceshowbiz.com. Jungkook's previous high on the Billboard Hot 100 was when Charlie Puth's 'Left and Right' featuring him hit No. 22 in July 2022.
