Terrorist killed in Kashmir encounter refused to surrender

The Army said on receiving specific intelligence from the police about the presence of a terrorist in the vicinity of village Rakhama, a joint operation was launched by the Army and police at 11.30 p.m. on September 30. "The cordon was established by 2.00 a.m on today (October 1). One terrorist was located. Multiple appeals were made to the terrorist to surrender but he opened fire on the troops at about 5.00 a.m." the Army said
PoK resident apprehended after crossing LoC in J&K's Poonch

Lt. Colonel Devender Anand, defence ministry spokesman said, "Today, at about 12.30 a.m. one POK National(male) crossed LoC and has been apprehended by Indian Army troops along Mendhar River in Balnoi area, of Poonch district."

Responding to OIC’s comments on Kashmir made at the 48th session of UNHRC, India’s first secretary on a permanent mission in Geneva Pawan Badhe said the grouping has “helplessly” allowed itself to be held “hostage” by Pakistan. The OIC is an international organization founded in 1969, consisting of 57 member states out of which 49 are Muslim majority countries.

The sources have revealed that the security agencies in Kashmir have tracked the movement and presence of ISKP commander Munsib who has been reportedly coordinating with various terror outfits for this purpose. He has been quite active on social media for the past few months, they added. Around 25 youths from Kerala have recently gone to Afghanistan and had joined the ISKP cadre.

Voice calling services on mobile phones of all service providers and broadband facility on fixed-line connections were restored late Friday evening in the Valley. Officials have said that the Internet facility on mobile phones will be restored on Sunday afternoon.
