ED arrests businessman Dinesh Arora in Delhi excise policy case

The ED, however, did not comment officially on the arrest but sources have confirmed the development. The ED has claimed in its previous chargesheet that Arora gave Rs 82 lakh to Sisodia as the collection of party funds for the assembly elections in Delhi.

Aadhaar authenticated transactions jump over 13% to cross 226 crore

In February alone, 226.29 crore Aadhaar authentication transactions were executed, more than 13 per cent growth over January's 199.62 crore. Cumulatively, 9,255.57 crore Aadhaar authentication transactions have been executed so far, by the end of February 2023. While a majority of the authentications transaction numbers were carried out by using fingerprints, it is followed by demographics and OTPs.
Delhi: CNG prices rise 38%, LPG cylinder gets 22% costlier in last 1 yr

The comparative prices of CNG for Indraprastha Gas Limited (Delhi) were at Rs 57.01 per kg on March 1, 2022 and it increased to Rs 79.56 per kg on March 1 this year. Similarly, the price of a LPG cylinder (14.4 kg) was at Rs 899.50 on March 1, 2022 and it went up to Rs 1,103 by March 1.
Excise policy scam: Delhi court extends businessman Arun Pillai's ED custody by 3 days

He was arrested on March 6 after hours of questioning in the case. Special judge M. K. Nagpal of the Rouse Avenue Courts sent Pillai to ED custody on March 7, which expired on Monday. The judge, dealing with the matter, extended his custody on Monday. On March 10, Pillai moved an application before the same court seeking to retract his statements given to the probe agency in the case.
