"I looked at the schedule today and realised that it is going to be a very long year. Few series coming up. Body management will be essential if you are going to play everything or most of everything. Managing the body will be important if you have to play a lot," said Archer while speaking to the media on Tuesday.

Head coach Ravi Shastri welcomed the entire squad by giving a "rousing speech" and then the entire team hit the nets to prepare for the series. "Day 1 of our nets session in Chennai and it is head coach Ravi Shastri who welcomes the group with a rousing address," tweeted BCCI along with the pictures of the session.

"Rahul bhai actually called me before the series, when we were leaving to Australia from Dubai. He said, 'Don't take any stress, I know you are leading the team after the first Test. Informal nod given for 50% spectators for 2nd Test: Report
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has given the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) an informal approval to allow 50 per cent of the stadium to be filled in accordance with the Sports Ministry's guidelines, according to ESPNCricinfo.
