Ayushmann Khurrana

As the actor nears 40, his wife Tahira Kashyap Khurrana is wishing her beau a happy birthday, saying that he is the only one for whom she can dance till the crack of dawn.

'Dream Girl 2' is the sequel to sleeper hit 2019 comedy drama 'Dream Girl' which starred Ayushmann alongside Nushrratt Bharuccha.

Ayushmann, who was present in the national capital for the launch of the song 'Dil Ka Telephone 2.0' from 'Dream Girl 2' spoke about the movie, the preparations and challenges he went through for this role, etc.

It was a challenging role for Ayushmann considering he constantly had to switch between the two roles of Karam and Pooja, while all along ensuring the punches and comic timing hit the right note. The movie boasts an ensemble cast including -- Ananya Panday, Paresh Rawal, Annu Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz, Asrani, Abhishek Banerjee, Manjot Singh and Seema Pahwa. 

It's a Punjabi-pop fusion number with its lyrics penned by Gurpreet Saini and Gautam Sharma. The composition is poignant and Ayushmann's soulful vocals add a new dimension to the track. The music video of the song has been directed by Dar Gai. Talking about the song, Ayushmann said, "The song captures the essence of emotions and I hope it becomes a cherished part of people's playlists.

The International Indian Film Academy Awards, popularly known as IIFA, is returning for its 23rd edition on May 26 and 27 and will see the who's who of Bollywood in attendance with deserving artistes being honoured for their work in Hindi cinema for last year.

​​​​​​​Ayushmann says, “There have been validations in the past from the TIME magazine, Forbes and also the prestigious National Award, but it’s most special when your alma mater acknowledges your achievements!” He adds, “While studying at Panjab University, I was astonished to learn about so many seniors who had become national icons and made the state and country proud. It was a great honour for me to have studied at this prestigious institution, mentored by brilliant teachers.”

Ayushmann took to Instagram, where he shared a clip announcing the new release date. It was unveiled on the occasion of Valentine's day. It shows Ayushmann, who is wearing a lehenga, as his character Pooja without revealing the face talking on phone with 'Pathaan'. One can hear Shah Rukh Khan's voice form the other side.
