The Bollywood actor, nominated by the BJP to contest the Mandi constituency in Himachal Pradesh for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, expressed her disdain for the Congress, labeling it as "utterly repugnant" to her.

Residents of Mandi have a unique place in the annals of Indian electoral history, having exercised their franchise ahead of the rest of the nation during the inaugural general elections of 1951-52. This proactive measure ensured that snowfall didn't hinder the tribals from participating in the democratic process.

Malini commended Ranaut's resilience, stating that she is a fighter who will not back down easily. She emphasized Ranaut's suitability for politics, citing her courage and accomplishments as an artist "perfect for politics". 

In response, Kangana Ranaut took to social media to condemn the post, emphasizing the need to refrain from using derogatory language towards women. She urged for respect for every woman's dignity regardless of their profession or circumstances.

The screening will be held after the state cabinet meeting and will also be attended by the film’s lead actor Kangana Ranaut. Touted as a film of “national importance”, ‘Tejas’ joins a list of similar ‘nationalist’ films like ‘The Kerala Story’, ‘The Kashmir Files’, ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ and ‘Uri’ which have been shown to a wide section of society by the government through special screenings.

Kangana Ranaut shared a picture and penned a note for him praising him as a leader and said that nothing could erase his legacy. She took to her Instagram story where she shared a picture of herself shaking hands with the Prime Minister. Alongside the image, she wrote: "From selling tea on railway platforms as a child to becoming the most powerful man on this planet."

She was speaking to reporters at Pudukottai amid her tour across the state to garner support for her re-entry to politics. Sasikala said that the cadres of the AIADMK must give a fitting response to EPS for having assumed the office of the interim General Secretary by violating party rules. She also said that he does not have any authority to expel O. Panneerselvam (OPS) when his own post is invalid.
