IND v NZ, 2nd Test: New Zealand all out on 62 after Patel takes 10 wickets of India

After making 62 runs in 28.1 overs, India bowled New Zealand out and took a 263-run lead in the second and final Test here on Saturday. New Zealand was chasing the score of 325 made by India in 109.5 overs.

The overwhelmingly splendid performance by Ajaz Patel on Saturday made him the third in the history of Test cricket to take all 10 wickets in an innings. The cricketer's name is marked in bold in history after he took all 10 wickets of India during the final test between India and New Zealand. Soon after losing the wickets to the star bowler, India had tightened up their gameplay and managed a great comeback by taking all wickets of New Zealand before the team could even hit a century.

2. Ajaz Patel made history by being the third after Jim Laker and Anil Kumble to achieve the rare feat of claiming all 10 wickets in an innings. The left-arm spinner marvelously took all the 10 wickets of India.

3. Indian bowlers did not fail to show their competitors the burning zeal as they took all the wickets of Black Caps before they could hit 100. Skilled Indian bowlers brilliantly took the wickets reducing the Black Caps to 38/6 at tea.

4. 62 runs are also the lowest run any country has ever scored in a Test against team India and the previous lowest was 79 by South Africa at Nagpur in 2015.

5. Four wickets were claimed by Ravichandran Ashwin and three by Mohd Siraj and the entire New Zealand innings only lasted for 128 minutes with only two batsmen managing to score double figures.
