The birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be celebrated on September 17 with weeklong nationwide activities by the BJP. The party begins a 'Seva Pakhwada' on September 17, concluding into the Gandhi Jayanti celebrations on October 2. BJP National President JP Nadda has formed a national team for overseeing the event, of which the National General Secretary Sunil Bansal will be the convener.
Others in the list include National Vice President Saroj Pandey, OBC Morcha President K Laxman, National Secretary Manjinder Singh Sirsa and ST Morcha President Sameer Oraon, besides Harish Dwivedi, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Neeraj Shekhar and Aparajita Sarangi.
BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh, in a circular, has asked the state, district and divisional-level leaders to hold activities celebrating PM Modi's birthday.
The major events include blood donation camps at the district level in coordination with the Indian Red Cross Society, among other institutions from September 17 to 19.
Thereafter, from September 18 to 24, a cleanliness drive will be undertaken in schools and hospitals across the country.
The party will also organize programs at various places to felicitate the players selected for the Paris Paralympics and extend invitations to well-known personalities to write articles and videos highlighting the stellar work done by PM Modi.
On September 25, marking the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, BJP workers will undertake booth-level activities to enroll new members.
They would propagate buying Khadi products and organize free health camps for women above 60-years on September 23.
On October 2, birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, BJP leaders and workers will undertake cleanliness drive at statues, temples, parks, and public places.
Besides this, the 15-day-long celebrations will also include an exhibition on achievements of PM Modi and different competitions on such themes as Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat 2047.
Instructions have been given to upload pictures and details of all the programmes on social media and NaMo app as well as send them to the party's national headquarters.
