Veteran actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha has finally broken his silence over his daughter Sonakshi Sinha's marriage to Zaheer Iqbal, saying it is completely legal and their fundamental right. In an interaction, Shatrughan said, “This is a matter of marriage… Secondly, if the kids got married, it is not illegal and unconstitutional. They did it with their own wishes and our blessings. He showered the couple with much praise, terming them "made for each other." Speaking about his elation over the wedding, he said, “Parents will always stand for their children's happiness and I feel that our children are happy. I call them made for each other and we are very happy for them.”

Sonakshi and Zaheer got married on 23 June in a registry wedding. This was followed by a grand reception at high-end restaurant Bastian, owned by Shilpa Shetty.

While last month it was Shatrughan who said that the couple was a match made in heaven, Sonakshi took to social media to share an emotional moment from her wedding when her mother appeared in tears. These emotional photos featuring Sonakshi, her mother, and Shatrughan Sinha spelled out the heart-beating moment of the day.

Professionally, the newest of Sonakshi's films is "Kakuda," a horror-comedy set in a village haunted by some strange curse. Co-starring Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem, the film revolves around some outlandish ritual of opening a dummy door every Tuesday at 7.15 pm to avoid the wrath of Kakuda, a vengeful spirit.
