The trailer of Gehraiyaan which stars Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday, and Dhairya Karwa in lead was launched recently and left the audience excited. The movie is based on the subject of complicated relationships, love, and betrayal. During the launch of the trailer, Deepika touched on the topic of her intimate scene in the movie.
During the trailer launch of her latest outing, Deepika Padukone was seen talking about the intimate scenes in the movie. Crediting the director Shakun Batra for creating a safe space around the actors, Deepika said this is something that was never explored in Indian Cinema.
“I don’t think it would be possible without the comfort that he (Shakun) has given all of us. You feel you are working in an extremely safe and secure environment because intimacy is not easy. It is not something that we have ever experienced or explored in Indian cinema before, in the way we have in this film, Deepika stated.
“So, to go down that route of intimacy, of vulnerability, is only possible when you know that the director is not doing it for the eyeballs, but he is doing it because that’s just where the characters are coming from, through their journey and their experiences,” Deepika said.
Gahraiyaan starring Ananya Panday, Sidhant Chaturvedi and Deepika Padukone in lead is scheduled to release on Amazon Prime Videos on February 11, 2022.
