Number of Foreign students decline in US universities during covid-19 pandemic: Survey

Institute of International Education in New York conducted the research which surveyed 3,000 institutions of higher education in the US, the Voice of America reported. The research indicated that the number of enrolments was slashed by 45.6 per cent for new students and by 15 per cent for foreign students, Xinhua news agency reported.

Covid-19 pandemic has triggered a sharp decline in the number of foreign students studying in the US University, according to a survey released on monday.

The research indicated that the number of enrolments was slashed by 45.6 per cent for new students and by 15 per cent for foreign students, Xinhua news agency reported.

Chinese and Indian students continue to register the highest number of enrolment at US colleges and universities. The number of students from China dropped by 14.8 per cent from last year and the number of Indian students declined by 13.2, according to the survey.
