CLAT 2022: Registration process closed, Exam to be held on June 19

As per the official notification, the CLAT examination for undergraduate and postgraduate will be conducted on June 19, 2022. The exam is scheduled to begin from 2:00 PM and continue till 4:00 PM. The application forms for the entrance examination have ended. CLAT is held in over 80 cities. Applicants were given a choice to select from three exam centers.


CLAT(Common Law Admission Test) is a nation-level law entrance examination that allows students to apply to 22 law universities in India with over 70 affiliated colleges. Candidates who are able to clear the entrance examination are eligible to be admitted to the Undergraduate and Postgraduate degree courses of these institutes. NLSIU Bengaluru, NLU New Delhi, NUL Hyderabad, and IIT Kharagpur are some of the top Law Institutes that accept CLAT scores for admission.

The UG paper will be divided into five sections, including English Language, Current Affairs & General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Technique, according to the CLAT test structure. The PG, on the other hand, will only include two sections: constitutional law and other legal subjects.

For appearing in CLAT UG  a candidate must have passed class 12th with a minimum score of 45% and 40% in the case of the reserved category. On the other hand, PG students require a graduate degree in a 3-year LLB course or 5-year LLB with a minimum of 50% for the general category and 45% for reserved category students. In addition to the minimum marks, there is no age limit to appear for this entrance examination.

The fees for the registration process were Rs.4000 for General category students and Rs.3500 for reserved category students.
