Mind of Car: Elon Musk teases new Tesla UI release
The updated UI will have something that the CEO referred to as the "mind of car" view. The EV maker has been expected to release a broader user interface update in its vehicles for a while now, Electek reported. It has often been referred to as its v11 software update and it is expected to use some of the new designs seen in the new UI in the updated Model, the report said.
Developing safe self-driving car a 'hard problem', admits Elon Musk
In an earnings call in January, Musk had told investors that he was "highly confident the car will be able to drive itself with reliability in excess of human this year". In the latest tweet, Musk said: "Generalized self-driving is a hard problem, as it requires solving a large part of real-world AI. Didn't expect it to be so hard, but the difficulty is obvious in retrospect."
Musk confirms Cybertruck will have 4-wheel steering
Over the last year, Musk has been talking about Tesla unveiling an updated version of the Cybertruck ahead of the start of production, which is still officially planned for later this year. Now, the CEO has confirmed that the Tesla Cybertruck is going to have 4-wheel steering, Electrek reported. "We are adding rear-wheel steering, so it can do tight turns and maneuver with high agility," Musk said.

JLR launches Range Rover Sport SVR at Rs 2.19 cr
The SUV is powered by a '5.0 I supercharged V8 petrol engine' that delivers a power of 423 KW and torque of 700 Nm and is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km per hour in 4.5 seconds. The company said that the Range Rover Sport SVR is the "fastest, most powerful and dynamic Land Rover ever produced". The luxury performance SUV is hand-finished in Coventry, the UK.
Audi starts booking for electric SUVs
The Audi e-tron is a broad SUV with a well-defined straight roof, whereas the 'e-tron Sportback' is an athletic SUV with a robust, sloping roofline. Each of these SUVs can be booked with an initial booking amount of Rs 5 lakh. Commenting on the announcement, Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, said, "The future is electric and we are thrilled to open bookings for not one but two electric SUVs - the Audi e-tron and the Audi e-tron Sportback in India.
Skoda Auto India launches SUV Kushaq
According to the company, the new SUV is powered by the globally acclaimed TSI technology with two engine options -- 1.0L and 1.5L TSI -- delivering 115 PS and 150 PS, respectively. Besides, transmission options include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and 7-speed DSG. "The launch of KUSHAQ is a watershed moment for Skoda Auto India as we enter one of the most exciting segments in this dynamic automotive market."
Mercedes-Benz India launches seventh generation of S-Class
The new vehicle is launched in two variants - Diesel S 400d 4MATIC and Petrol S 450 4MATIC - with more than half of the 150 units of the 'CBU Launch Edition' being booked before the flagship's India debut. According to the company, the 'S 400d 4MATIC' is priced at Rs 2.17 crore and 'S 450 4MATIC' comes for Rs 2.19 crore.
TVS Motor launches TVS iQube Electric at Rs 1.15L in Chennai
In a statement the company said it has launched its electric scooter TVS iQube Electric, an urban scooter powered by an advanced electric drivetrain at a price of Rs 115,218. TVS iQube Electric is equipped with a 4.4 kW electric motor and has a maximum speed of 78 kmph and traverses 75 kms with a full charge.
Honda launches '2021 Gold Wing Tour' bike in India, price starts from Rs 37 lakh
The 2021 Gold Wing Tour is being offered in two variants -- Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) with airbag and Manual Transmission. The bike is powered by a 1,833cc liquid-cooled 4-stroke 24-valve SOHC flat-6 engine which produces peak power of 93kW@5,500rpm and peak torque of 170Nm@4,500rpm. The company opened the bookings on Wednesday and said the deliveries will commence by July.
